The Christian Life has been described by some as “long obedience in the same direction.” That feels true. The question it leaves us with is; How does a Christian cultivate that long obedience? Or, What keeps a person continuing to make progress in the life with Jesus they committed to at their conversion?

That’s where Spiritual Disciplines come in.

The Spiritual Life consists of Spiritual Disciplines. Those sets of practices which we, as followers of Jesus, determine ourselves to commit to for the long haul. Those practices which cultivate a life of fruitfulness and maturation so that the process of looking more and more like Jesus moves effectively forward over time. These practices are what we’re going to unpack in this course.

In The Spiritual Life you will gain fresh perspective on spiritual disciplines and new ideas as to how to live them out. All the while, furthering you present and ongoing growth in Jesus. We will tackle disciplines like: reading God’s Word, prayer, confession, fasting, worship, fellowship, and many more.
