Join us for our Annual Business Meeting, where we'll review ministry highlights, give a financial update, and a look at some of our goals, plans, and dreams for the new ministry year. We'll also vote on two new elder candidates. So, mark your calendar now and make plans to join us!

Paul Barger

Elder candidate

Paul grew up in Miami, fishing whenever he could. He came to faith at eight, and Cru is where it really took root — sharing his faith, discipling students, then joining staff in 1971. He met Kathy there. Seminary, years in DC reaching people in the business world, then Austin with Cru's adult ministry in 1988.

They joined Hill Country in 2016. They lead a Group, host Discover Hill Country, and walk people through Freedom in Christ. Six grandchildren, ages 2 to 17.

Jake Ridley

Elder candidate

Jake was born in South Georgia and came to faith early. He met Lauren in college, they moved to Austin in 2009, married in 2011, and Hill Country became home. Through Young Adults they got close with families who helped plant The Well in East Austin. They were there 2012–2019, then came back to Hill Country when they moved to Round Rock.

They've served in Young Adults, men's and women's ministry, kids, and Groups. Two kids, Georgia and David. Jake's a financial planner. Family, sports, fishing, hunting, traveling.
