Main Idea: Jesus has power over everything because He is the Son of God.

Read Together: Jesus Calms the Storm (Mark 4:35–41)

Ask:

1. How Do I See Jesus in This Story?

• Jesus is not just a good teacher or helper—He is the Son of God.

• Jesus is never afraid, even in the worst storms.

• Jesus has complete power over nature, evil spirits, fear, and broken hearts and lives.

2. How Does This Apply to Me?

• When I am afraid, I can pray and trust Jesus because He is with me.

• When life feels out of control, Jesus is still in control and has power over every situation.

3. What Should My Life Look Like Knowing This?

• I trust Jesus instead of giving in to fear.

• I pray to Jesus when I feel scared or unsure.

Play: Jesus Is Greater Than My Fear

Goal: Help kids see that Jesus is stronger than anything that scares them.

What You Need:

· Paper

· Crayons, markers, or pencils

Steps

1. Draw the Fear

• Ask your child: “What scares you?”

• Have them draw it as a storm or scary thing on one side of the paper.

2. Draw Jesus

• On the other side, have your child draw Jesus bigger and stronger than the storm/fear.

• Optional: Add words like “Jesus is bigger than my fear” or “Peace, be still.”

3. Talk

Ask: “Who is stronger—Jesus or the storm?”

Pray: Dear Jesus, Thank You that You are so powerful and so loving. Thank You that nothing is too big for You—not storms, not evil, not our fears. Help us trust you completely when we are scared or when life feels hard. We believe you are the Son of God. Amen.
