    Financial Classes

Many of us struggle to surrender our finances to God's wisdom and direction, sometimes resulting in severe consequences to lives and relationships. The Bible is clear that there is a direct correlation between a person's relationship to material things and their relationship to God. In fact, money is the chief rival god in most people's lives, as it can steal our hearts from God (Matthew 6:21). Jesus taught that we cannot serve both God and money (Matthew 6:24), and that concern over things of this world and the deceitfulness of riches can choke out God's word in our lives (Matthew 13:22).

Fortunately, the Bible offers a tremendous amount of insight into God's heart on this issue, as there are over 2,300 scriptures that deal with money and possessions, more than almost any other topic.

    Need Some Guidance?

HCBC is here to help you understand how biblical wisdom can apply to this area of your life. We offer a handful of financial courses to assist you in learning how to apply practical, usable techniques for handling what God has entrusted to us.

Below are the classes offered by the Financial Ministry at Hill Country Bible Church:

    Crown Financial Ministries
A 10-week life-changing, in-home small group study that addresses what the Bible teaches about handling our finances, as well as stewardship in all other areas of our lives.  A steward is someone who has been given the responsibility of managing or supervising things that belong to another, or in our case, things that belong to God.  How we handle money and the things God entrusts to us has a direct effect on our relationship with the Lord, as well as with our family, church, work and other important areas of our lives.

    Benefits of the Study:

    • Setting financial goals based on income and spending; creating and living by a budget.
    • Saving and investing for the future; organizing insurances and your estate.
    • How to handle all of our possessions, gifts and talents.
    • Our jobs-why we work and how to perform our work.
    • Attitudes toward God, our Church, our families and fellow Christians.
    • Being drawn into a more intimate relationship with the Lord as we study and learn how to live for Him in all aspects of our lives.
