Community Impact

The Community Impact Ministry equips and sends the people of Hill Country Bible Church to bless our community and saturate Greater Austin with the love of Jesus. As individuals grow in their walk with God, we develop and empower them to help lead our movement of changed lives that impacts Greater Austin for Christ.

Through four high-impact initiatives—Education, Poverty, LifeWork, and Civic Engagement—we step into opportunities to serve with compassion and purpose. Use the links on the right to learn more about each opportunity and how you can join Christ’s work of serving and loving our community.

Each year, our church family comes together for The Big Give (Thanksgiving Back Offering)—a special opportunity to give generously toward our Benevolence/Community Impact Ministry. This offering fully funds our ability to care for individuals and families throughout the year who are facing unexpected financial hardships, need restoration and help moving to sustainability.

When life becomes overwhelming—when bills stack up, jobs are lost, or circumstances shift suddenly or as we face the struggles of the world—our Benevolence/CI Ministry steps in to provide hope and help. Through your giving, we’re able to walk alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges, offering not only temporary financial assistance, but also guidance, prayer, and connections to community resources.

Your generosity during The Big Give helps us continue being the hands and feet of Jesus to those in our community. Every dollar given goes directly toward meeting needs, restoring stability, and equipping our family to bring the love of Jesus into our schools, workplaces, neighborhoods, and cities. Together, we can help others experience the love and compassion of Christ in very real and practical ways.

As we approach Thanksgiving, we have a wonderful opportunity to reflect the heart of Jesus by caring for those in our community who need some assistance in putting food on the table. Each year, Hill Country partners with Reveal and other local ministries to provide meals for families— You're invited to be part of that story of hope.

Here’s How You Can Get Involved:

Pick Up a Food Drive Bag

On Sunday, November 9 or 16, grab a grocery bag as you leave service.

Bring Back Your Donations

Return your filled bag on Sunday, November 23:

• Drop it off at the designated collection area or
• Leave it by your car in the parking lot, and our team will pick it up for you.

Be part of the volunteer team serving before and during the Food Drive,
and share the joy of helping others with your small group, friends, or family!

Tree of Lights is our annual giving engagement during the Christmas season. It's an opportunity to bless families in our community while celebrating the love of our generous God through the gift of His only Son. There are many ways to serve with your family, friends, small group or ministry.
