January 15: Encouraging a Gospel Identity:
Our identity is the foundation for who we are and how we make decisions. Every culture establishes an identity formation process based on what that culture or society sees as important. The radical changes going on around us socially, culturally, philosophically and technologically can make this formation more challenging and confusing than ever. Changing views of sexuality and other groups to “belong” to, the growing polarization of these groups and the emergence of the “modern identity,” are all creating additional stress in this process. In the midst of this, our teenagers are in the most formative stage of developing their own identity.
In this session, we will explore how all this is influencing our kids and what you can do to help your kids understand and adopt an identity based on the gospel story and a relationship with God.

February 12: Fearless Parenting
What are your biggest fears? That your kid will get involved with the wrong crowd? They won’t do what it takes to get into a good college…or any college at all? They will get involved with drugs or alcohol? They will adopt different values than you want them to have? They’ll be bullied and it will affect them for life? They’ll grow up entitled and not able to keep a good job? That your parenting style will drive them away from you?
In a culture of what seems like rampant narcissism and moral anarchy, today’s parents face an uphill battle in raising godly kids. This seminar will help parents understand how to foster kids’ spiritual growth and encourage them to develop their gifts, prioritize family relationships, reject materialism. and rethink social media.
