Befriend a Senior Adult & Help Them Maintain Independence.

Ideal service opportunity for individuals or small groups.

Offers free transportation and other support services for senior adults to live independently in their own homes. Services are provided by volunteer drivers, home handymen, office volunteers and hosts/hostesses for twice monthly luncheons.

This ministry offers the following types of volunteer opportunities:

  • Driving & Delivery
  • Meals & Snacks
  • Physical Labor (handyman, landscaping, etc.)
  • Prayer
  • Professional Services (front office staff, event hosts)

Specific volunteer needs: Drivers, handymen, monthly Senior Day Out hosts, front office help. Also accepting donations of gently used walkers and canes.

Volunteer commitment: Flexible scheduling with some services requiring just a one hour commitment. Most are one-two hour events. Volunteers must receive introductory training about use of the scheduling website and the spirit of services provided.
