Train the Next Generation for Technical Career Opportunities

Ideal service opportunity for individuals or small groups.

Career Life Ministry desires to reach the next generation with the life changing reality of Jesus Christ while training them for technical career opportunities through short-term OSHA and NCCER certificated training in the electrical and/or plumbing trades.

Mentors guide participants in an atmosphere of caring and genuine concern for the student’s spiritual future as well as their careers. A low student to staff ratio allows for deeper personal relationships that are key in life and career transformation.

This ministry offers the following types of volunteer opportunities:

  • Adult Recovery
  • Evangelism
  • Job Skills Training
  • Meals & Snacks
  • Tutoring/Mentoring

Specific volunteer need: Classroom instructors and mentors trained in electrical or other trade skills, as well as individuals to provide lunch to students and instructors on Saturdays. Also accepts donations of class scholarships ($375 + tuition costs per student), tools and electrical materials such as conduit, wire, light fixtures, etc.

Volunteer commitment: Saturdays 8:00am – 4:00pm

For more information or to volunteer, email HCBC ministry leader John Jarmon.
