Preaching, Teaching and Communication
The Apostle Paul closes his final letter (at least that we have knowledge of) to his protégé Timothy with the command to “preach the word” (2 Tim 4:2a). And if you’ve been around church for any amount of time you know that a regular practice is for the Word of God to be preached. It seems easy enough to stand up in front of a group of people and communicate a message from the Bible. But we all know that to do that well, or any public speaking for that matter, is far from easy. Communicating well matters. The ability to communicate ideas clearly and winsomely is an important piece of a leader's toolkit. Whether you are in ministry leadership currently or aspire to be at some point in the future, the ability to open the Bible and deliver truth to your listener is an important skill to develop. In fact, those leaders who can communicate a biblical message, will be able to stand up in front of those they lead and deliver most any message they need to. Do you need to grow in your skill in communicating? Do you want to grow in your ability to develop a message from Scripture that impacts people? If so, we invite you to prayerfully consider joining us for the next offering of this teaching/preaching course.
