Fields of Grace

 
“This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of God our Father, to care for orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”  James 1:27
 
 
Fields of Grace is passionate about God’s call to care for orphans.  The Bible has over 60 scriptures showing God’s heart and care for the fatherless.  The number of children in the world without families is staggering. The total number of orphans worldwide is projected to reach 44 million by 2010 (NSAID.gov).

Our vision is that our church family and those in our community would understand and embrace God’s call to care for orphans.
 
We seek to do this through:
 
  • Providing opportunities for individuals and families to directly and immediately impact the lives of orphans
  • Building long-term supportive relationships with orphanages in Mexico and East Asia
  • Building a community among adoptive families at HCBC NW and the broader community to provide encouragement, resources, and prayer support
  • Providing resources to adoptive couples at various stages of the adoption journey
  • Educating and encouraging families to consider or take the next step toward adoption
  • Encouraging, equipping and recruiting families in our body to become foster homes
  • Providing Texas Foster Parent Training opportunities at HCBC, when possible
  • Helping support foster families in our church and community
