HCBC is partnering with a network of 118 area churches through ADRN (Austin Disaster Relief Network) to send volunteers who are able to respond to areas that flooded on October 31 and see how we can be most helpful. There are several ways you can help with the immediate needs listed here.
Pray for those who lost loved ones and the many families whose homes and vehicles were damaged by the recent severe flooding caused due to heavy rains across Central Texas. Pray for comfort, provision, unity and fruitfulness as people step forward to be the hands and feet of Christ to those impacted.
Choose one of the options below and sign up to help with the relief efforts:
Sponsor a Family | By sponsoring a family you agree to connect with a flood survivor family and walk with them toward recovery. You will provide prayer, spiritual and emotional encouragement and help them identify and connect with resources that have been assembled by ADRN and HCBC. Further assistance can include, but not limited to, clean-up of property, identification of temporary and long-term housing and transportation, replacement of household goods, furnishings and clothing. The length of assistance can range from one to six months. Contact Community Impact.
Clean up/Rebuilding |Preliminary clean up has been completed and efforts are now being focused on repair and rebuilding. We are gathering a list of individuals skilled in different trade areas. If you would like to be contacted for future building opportunities contact Community Impact.
Get Trained | Be prepared for future disasters by becoming a trained volunteer through ADRN. Sign up here.
