People Helping People Connection Board: Online posting board where HCBC attenders can list items or services that are Wanted or Donated. This is a great tool for matching people who are in need of help to those who can provide a helping hand. Servants On Standby (S.O.S.) is a ministry which communicates a non-monetary, one time, or short term need to an email list of volunteers who may be able to assist with your need. If one of our volunteers has the skills and availability to meet your request, they will contact you.
If you would like to volunteer as one of our Servants On Standby and begin receiving the email alerts, or if you need this type of assistance call the Congregational Care Ministries at 331-2213.
“I’m in crisis!”
IMMEDIATE: Because trauma and trials rarely occur at a good time, we offer 24x7 prayer and care. Call 512.331.5050, then dial 2 and a prayer and care team member will return your call.
Crisis Care Training: We equip people to establish a support team around a family member or friend going through a crisis. This equipping provides resources for them in recruiting a team and organizing the team's activities to meet the specific needs of the individual or family.

Benevolence: The Benevolence team assesses requests for financial assistance from individuals in need and then works with them toward a solution, which may include providing temporary, short-term assistance. if you would like to volunteer to serve in this ministry or apply for assistance, call the church office at 331-5050 and ask for the Benevolence ministry.
Hope Ministry provides assistance in navigating life's challenges. One of the specific aspects of this ministry is the Job Seeker's Network which assists the unemployed and under-employed seek job opportunities. HOPE also assists people in making decisions and connecting them with other ministries or agencies that can assist with financial issues. The HCBCNW campus is home to many groups for those struggling with specific life issues.
- Celebrate Recovery is a ministry to recover God's image regardless of life's habits, hurts and hang-ups. God's healing is full and freeing. If you are haunted by shame, blame or guilt, let God lavish his love on you through Celebrate Recovery or one of the other groups we offer. These are safe places where you can unlock God’s healing power in your life as you process life with others experiencing the same struggles. The result is peace, serenity, joy and a deeper relationship with God.
- GriefShare is a group course designed to help people through the grieving process of losing a loved one. The GriefShare group meets weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.
- Forgiven and Set Free supports women through the healing process after an abortion.
- DivorceCare and DivorceCare for Kids supports those experiencing divorce or separation.
- Journey 2 Oneness is a support group for women dealing with a husband’s infidelity.
- Alcoholics Anonymous is the traditional 12-step program that supports individuals as they overcome their addiction to alcohol.
