Criteria
We look for candidates who have a strong leadership background and a desire to continue to learn and grow in vocational ministry. Candidates must be a recent college graduate or have equivalent work experience accompanied by leadership experience.
Four Main Characteristics
- Influential. We look for evidence of leadership in each candidate's prior roles.
- Relational IQ/Emotional Intelligence. We look for candidates who can relate easily with others and build rapport.
- Missional Bent. We look to see if each candidate has built connections and relationships with non-Christians, if he/she is sharing the gospel, or at minimum has a desire to learn in this area.
- Teachable. Candidates must show a desire to learn and willingness to admit that he/she does not have it all figured out.
Benefits and Living Conditions
- The Emerging Leader Residency is a paid stint on staff with full medical benefits.
- Each resident will reside in community housing with the other Emerging Leaders of the same gender.
It is more than a full-time job; it is doing life with others by connecting with unchurched people groups and serving the community.
