Criteria

We look for candidates who have a strong leadership background and a desire to continue to learn and grow in vocational ministry. Candidates must be a recent college graduate or have equivalent work experience accompanied by leadership experience.

Four Main Characteristics

  1. Influential. We look for evidence of leadership in each candidate's prior roles.

  2. Relational IQ/Emotional Intelligence. We look for candidates who can relate easily with others and build rapport.

  3. Missional Bent.  We look to see if each candidate has built connections and relationships with non-Christians, if he/she is sharing the gospel, or at minimum has a desire to learn in this area.

  4. Teachable. Candidates must show a desire to learn and willingness to admit that he/she does not have it all figured out.

Benefits and Living Conditions

  • The Emerging Leader Residency is a paid stint on staff with full medical benefits.
  • Each resident will reside in community housing with the other Emerging Leaders of the same gender.

It is more than a full-time job; it is doing life with others by connecting with unchurched people groups and serving the community.
