The Gospel
repentance, redemption and restoration
It’s really all about repentance, redemption and restoration. Most of us realize that there’s something not quite right in the world. Depending on our life’s path so far, we either feel a little itch or a gaping hole that nudges us.
“There’s something bigger than this.”
At Hill Country Bible Church we believe in the power of Jesus to help scratch that itch or fill that gaping hole. We believe that each of our life stories are being written every day, and the outcome, the final chapter, depends on the choices we make in this life.
“Choose for yourself this day - who will you serve?
Choosing Christ means freedom. Freedom from captivity to life’s hurts, hangups and habits. Freedom from a past that may be marred by deep scars. Freedom from both the massive and the mundane.
“He is not easy, but He is good.”
We’re not perfect people. We are all sinful, all separated from the God who created us to relate to him in a harmonious state. But once we realize our need and accept Christ, we’re redeemed and restored and set on a path of transformation. It’s not easy, but it’s good.
That’s the gospel. The word means, “good news.” And it is good indeed.
At HCBC, we are committed to helping you take your next step spiritually. Wherever you are on your faith pathway, well, there’s someone around here who’s been at a similar place. Come visit us.
