2012 Schedule

Backyard Bible Clubs

July 9-12

Families host Backyard Bible Clubs for kids to have fun and learn about Jesus. Backyard Bible Clubs are held in the back (or front) yard and at apartment complexes. Clubs are held at 9:00 am, 10:45 am, 5:45 pm or 7:30 pm.

Before the club: Each host invites current Kindergarten - 4th graders from the neighborhood.

At the club: Student teams from HCBC engage kids in fun games, skits and stories, and share the gospel message each day.

At the end of the week: Kids and their families are invited to SummerFest, a massive party at Hill Country Bible Church.

Lives can be impacted through driving, hosting, and serving. Please pray for the clubs, the kids who come and their families. This could be the summer that changes everything.

Why me?

As a host, you'll develop a fresh mindset and see your neighborhood as a mission field. You'll enjoy seeing kids hear about Christ and watching teens love them with Christ's love. Each night, you will have the opportunity to get to know your neighbors better. It's quite possible that you'll never see your back yard the same way again.

What a Driver Does

  • Attend one training session
  • During club week, Monday through Thursday (July 12-15), drive students from the church to their clubs and then back to the church
  • During club time, assist with pictures, handouts and paperwork
  • Pray daily for the teens and encourage them
  • Attend Concert of Prayer on July 11 and Concert of Praise on August 15

Why me?

As a driver, you will make a real impact during Great Adventure. You'll form great connections with a group of teenagers. As you pray each day, you'll see God answer your prayers. It's exciting to see first-hand how God works in the Backyard Bible Club.
