Girly Burly is a yearly event designed for small groups to spend time together and grow spiritually.
Registration is now closed.
This year, we’re spending Saturday serving the city at different non-profit organizations. We’ll meet at the Church at 8am, then break into small groups and serve at one of 17 different locations across the city. Groups will have lunch on site and have small group. After serving groups will go to dinner and have another small group discussion. Groups will then go to their designated host home for a sleep over! In the morning groups will go to Roots together. Students will get picked up by parents after Roots at 11:10am. The cost is $40 which includes a t-shirt and all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and breakfast again). Leaders will be in contact with their groups to discuss the specific needs of the serving project (i.e. work gloves, clothes toed shoes, hat, etc). Questions: firstname.lastname@example.org
Steiner Campus – October 13-14
Our event will begin on Friday night at 7:30 in Steiner Ranch at a designated home for each grade. Students will play, swim, and hangout together at those homes before going to The Commons from 10-11:30 PM before parents pick up students for the night. On Saturday morning we will be serving the city at different non-profit organizations. We’ll meet at the The Commons in Steiner Ranch at 8:15, then break into groups by each grade and serve at one of 3 different locations across the city. Groups will meet on site as a small group when they finish serving, before going to lunch and an activity for the afternoon. Students will get picked up by parents at 5 PM on Saturday at a location TBD The cost is $40 which includes a t-shirt and all meals and activities (Dinner, lunch, dinner, and snacks). Our Student Ministry Leadership team will be in contact with you in order to let you know locations of drop-off and pick-up and what is needed (gloves, shoes, etc) for the serving project. We will meet Saturday night at our respective host homes at 7:30, eating dinner beforehand. Students will hang out at homes until bedtime, with games & fun through the evening. Saturday morning we will have breakfast then head to service projects though the annual Love the Rock event from 8-12. We’ll work in service projects to help those in need in our Round Rock community. Then we’ll move over to Austin’s Park and Pizza, have lunch together and playtime all afternoon. We have access to unlimited go-karts, mini-golf, laser tag, and bumper boats. Pick up will be at Austin’s Park at 4:30pm. The cost is $35 which includes a t-shirt and all meals & activities. Student Ministry staff will be in touch to let you know a drop-off location for your host home. We will have a need for drivers so please let us know if you would like to serve!
