Tim Hawks:

  • Born and raised in Michigan
  • Accepted Christ when I was a young boy
  • Received my bachelor’s degree from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO
  • Received my Masters in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, where I met my wife Cindy.
  • Planted and pastored a church in Ruston, LA for three years prior to coming to Hill Country Bible Church in March of 1989.
  • Been married to Cindy over 26 years and have four children, Kate (23), Ben (21), Ellen (19), and Sam (16).
  • Enjoy reading, hunting and keeping up with my kids.

Rick Loofs

  • The Loofs family has lived in Austin since 1995 and have been attending HCBC since March, 2008.  
  • Rick and his wife, Trudy, have been married for 21 years and have four boys: Ryan, Tyler, Chris and Jake.
  • Rick accepted Christ at age 13 while at a Christian summer camp on the Texas coast.  
  • Graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in engineering and received a master’s degree from the department of Counseling and Family Studies at Liberty University in 2008.
  • Rick and Trudy have served as young adult leaders, middle school teachers and most recently in high school ministry here at HCBC.
  • Works in the business operations area for a technology company providing products to the semiconductor and biopharmaceutical markets.
  • Enjoys traveling with Trudy and the boys, camping and serving as an adult leader with Hill Country’s Boy Scout Troop 234.

Bill Stauber

  • Bill was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico.  Growing up in a Christ-centered family, he accepted Christ at the age of 6.
  • Upon graduating from New Mexico State University with a BS in Civil Engineering, Bill moved to Los Angeles, CA, where he met Casey, his wife of 20 years.  Casey and Bill have been blessed to raise three children: Jessica (17), Will (14) and Emma (9). 
  • After moving to Austin, Bill and Casey started attending Hill Country Bible Church in 1999 and both began serving in Worship Ministry.
  • Additionally, Bill has served in Prison and Men’s Ministries.
  • Bill and Casey consider it a blessing to be part of a family of believers where they are continually challenged and encouraged to “take the next step spiritually” - a challenge that keeps them growing closer to God as individuals, as a family and with others in our community.

Joe Davis

  • Born and raised in Texas
  • Committed my life to Christ in 1984 at age of 32
  • Graduated from the University of Texas Arlington 1975
  • Moved to Austin in 1990
  • Married my wife Nancy in 1993 and have two children, Rachel (16) Katie (15) who attend Westwood High School
  • We have attended HCBC since 1997
  • Served in various ministry leadership roles within Hill Country Bible Churches Association
  • Currently in a sales position in the electrical industry and enjoy doing whatever involves the family

Richard Dooley

  • Richard grew up in Austin, Texas.
  • Attended college at The University of Texas.  
  • Placed his trust in Christ in June of 1996.  
  • Richard and his wife, Susan, began attending HCBC NW in 1998.
  • Has served in various ministries, including Summerfest, Great Adventure, AWANA, and CrownMinistries.
  • Richard served for the last six years as a board member of Hill Country Christian School of Austin.  He has been humbled to see how God has worked through the ministry of this Christ-centered school.
  • Richard and Susan have been married for 17 years and have three children: Avery, Christian and Ellie.

Darryl Worsham

  • Born and raised in Healdton Oklahoma
  • Came to a personal faith in Christ at the age of 9 years old
  • Attended Oklahoma State University (go pokes)
  • Married to my beautiful bride Rhonda for 20 years (started dating in HS)
  • We've been blessed with 3 wonderful daughters Bailey (18), Hannah (14) and Isabella (7)
  • Started attending HCBC in 2000 - served in various ministries including ReaLife Shepard, Jr. High and Men's ministries.
  • Spend the last 20+ years in High Technology Software companies in various roles
  • Love to spend time with my daughters, watch the OSU and Dallas Cowboys and travel the world with my wife

Curtis Carpenter

  • Reared in San Antonio and accepted Christ at the age of eleven
  • Attended Abilene Christian University
  • Married the lovely Jennifer Fritts  in 1981
  • Blessed with two daughters and one son-in-law who is in full-time ministry
  • Began attending Hill Country in 1998 and have enjoyed serving in middle school, high school, college, singles, internationals and even empty-nesters
  • I travel all over the country working on community bank mergers and acquisitions
  • I enjoy staying active, traveling with Jennifer and spending time with family and friends as much as possible

Tom Ashcraft

  • Tom grew up in Baytown, Texas and attended college at the University of Texas at Austin.
  • He placed his trust in Christ in May of 1985 at the end of his freshman year and was active in college ministry and outreach on the UT campus until graduating in 1989.
  • He participated in a local church plant near the campus area for three years prior to attending Hill Country Bible Church NW in 1993.
  • He has been married to his wife, Donna, for 18 years and they became members of HCBCNW in 1995.
  • Tom and Donna have been REALife Group shepherds for 14 years and have seen God form several new small groups out of their group during that time. Tom has also served in worship ministry for the past 12 years
  • Tom and Donna have three children: Tyler (13), Emily (10), and Megan (7).
  • Tom is currently employed by a local engineering firm as a civil engineer and enjoys camping and fishing.
